Rockjewel shows Dragons vs Unicorns, a custom made Lilypad Lacquer

No news for you who read my blogs: I fell in love with Lilypad Lacquer polishes after my first order. When I saw that it was possible to order custom made polish from Lilypad I took the opportunity and ordered one for a good friend's birthday. Since we became friends not so long ago I needed to ask her a lot of questions to get to know her better, trying to prevent her from figuring out why I asked them. It was questions about favourite colour of course, taste in music, litterature, food etc. 

I fowarded some of this information to Nicole (the owner and creator of Lilypad Lacquer) and asked her to create a polish that matched my friend. I think she nailed it with the first mix. 

Then it was time to name the new polish.

One question I asked my friend was "Dragons or unicorns?". The answer "Dragons of course, but unicorns in second place!". Hence the name. :-)

Dragons vs Unicorns has a strong holo effect. The colour shifts from a light steel-blue shimmer to a really dark blue, almost brownish-black (as always difficult to capture with the camera). The strong colour shift effect is a bit similar to Lilypad Llarowe exclusive XOXO, but the latter is lighter and shifts to coppery brown.

As often with Lilypad it is almost a one-coater. I used two. No top coat in the photos but I applied it afterwards. I often do that because of the shrinkage some top coats cause. It is always more visible in photos than in real life. 

I think I don't need to mention that my friends seemed happy with the present. :-)
