Rockjewel grows Lilypad flowers on ILNP Mega

I Love Nail Polish Mega is clean white polish with a strong linear holo. It is lovely on its own, maybe perfect for a bride? Or if you have a really nice tan it would be fantastic! I don't have that deep tan, but I decided to wear in anyway.
One of the reasons I put it on was the sunday challenge in a stamping group on Facebook, Adventures In Stamping. The theme was Stamping on holo. I thought Mega would be perfect for a summer inspired nail art.

I used two coats of Mega. It covered pretty good, but if I should use it on its own I would probably go for three coats, but I still think you might get away with two.
The formula is very good, easy to apply.

I stamped the leaves with Konad Princess Pop Green and the roses with Bubble Yummo from my favorite brand Lilypad Lacquer.

The result was a bit more messy that what I planned for, but I'm still quite content with the result. I think it breathes summer.

Rockjewel sings an alluring song with I Love Nail Polish Sirene

It is so difficult to describe the multichrome polishes, It is equally difficult to capture all the beauty of them in a photo.
I have a bunch of multichrome polishes by now, mainly from Dance Legend and I Love Nail Polish. Some with holo effect added. I like them all a lot. Both brands are beautiful, good formula etc. etc.
This one is ILNP Sirene. It might be my favorite with all the color shifting, at least for now! It ranges from an icy turquoise to a deep forrest green, with burgundy and a zillion other nuances in between. I really love it!
As said, good formula. Some bald patches on the first coat but a second rich coat fixed that.
Too bad I didn't get any outdoors photos, maybe next time.

Rockjewel challenges DNA with ILNP Mutagen (H)

Times like these I wish I had a better camera, and better photo lighting. I also wish I was a better photographer. The part with a better equipment is fixable, but the part that depends on my skills might be a bit more difficult to fix...
Well, one does the best one can, under existing circumstances.
As with this polish, ILNP Mutagen (H), and other polishes like it. The chromies, duo-, multi-, ultra- and so on, are always difficult to capture with the camera, and with me behind the camera... You can fill in the rest yourself.

Mutagen (H) is a holographic ultra-chrome that also comes in a non-holographic version. I bought both. Not sure if it is necessary to own both, but they are both beautiful. The polish shifts mostly in green hues, but in different angles and lightings it shows dark blue, plum, purple, pink, silver, sage green. The shifts do not stand out that much, but the predominant color and shimmer is beautiful as is. And when the lighting is right the effect is lovely! The holo effect is medium strong, mostly light blue flashes and gold and silver shimmer.

The formula is good, two coats are what I used to get it opaque. A little bit streaky, but nothing that bothers me too much.

Rockjewel rocks with deep purple, ILNP Grape Alicious

And then came Molly. No, that one I have already blogged about here. Now it is time to show the other holo polish I bought at the same time. The brand is I Love Nail Polish - ILNP. It is probably most famous for the wonderful multichrome and multichrome-holo polishes, but there are lots of other beautiful polishes from that brand. Grape Alicious is one of them.

The base is a very deep aubergine (ok grape) purple. It is a color I like very much, even as a cream polish. This looks like a cream polish in ordinary indoors light, and grey outdoors daylight. But there is a holo effect hiding underneath it all. It is a little bit like Lilypad Lacquer Wild Orchid in this behaviour, but they are still quite different. WO has a darker base, leaning more to black, GA is a bit lighter (or less dark maybe...) and seems to have finer grained holo particles. Both are true beauties!

The biggest difference between these polishes is the formula. Nicole at Lilypad seems to have found a base with fantastic qualities. ILNP is actually quite good, but you get spoiled when the first indie polish you buy is a Lilypad with this exceptional formula.

Enough with the Lilypad praising, I bore you to death with this!
As I hinted above the application of Grape Alicious was a little bit tricky. Nothin alarming, I will not discourage anyone from bying ILNP polishes, but the first coat gets a bit gooey and leaves some bald spots. Nothing that the second coat could not repair.
As said, the holo effect is a bit shy, but when it shows it shows. A beautiful, strong, fine.grained, linear holo.

Rockjewel and the holo supernova in the sky: ILNP Cygnus Loop (H)

I Love Nail Polish have made som really nice holographic multichrome polishes. I've already shown you My Little Glacier (H) and now it is Cygnus Loop's time in the limelight a-k-a. my blog. I bought these from the ILNP site. Really fast shipping and reasonable shipping cost.

It is not an entirely trouble-free formula. First coat is patchy if trying to apply a thin coat, and runny if trying to add it a little richer. A bit difficult to clean up all polish around the cuticles. But the second layer is much easier to apply. It covers all bald spots and ends up on the nails and nowhere else. And I think the beauty forgives the formula a bit :-)

The color shifts from an almost turquoise, to dark blue, to purple, to deep red. The holo effect is a bit fickle, in some angles non-existing and in other quite strong. It's an exciting nail polish with all the colors and effects.

Rockjewel shows some more ILNP.

Time for two more polishes from I Love Nail Polish, Cygnus Loop and Molly.
I start with Cygnus Loop. This is a really beautiful multichrome that shifts from a deep blue over purple to red. Nice formula, two coats needed. As often with this type of polish it is difficult to capture the shifting colors, but nevertheless, here are some photos:

This photo is taken in my car in the grey morning light.

Next up is Molly. I ordered this thinking it was more sort of a glitter polish than a holographic one. I was quite surprised when I saw the pretty strong holo effect. It is about the same level of holo as Lacquer Lust Birthstone collection. The color is red-to-wine with hints of blue in the holo, not as much as the photos show, but still visible under light. Easily applied, two coats (almost a one-coater).
And some photos of course:

Rockjewel gets nail mail from I Love Nail Polish 1: My Little Glacier (H)

Today I'm a happy camper, as I am every time I receive nail mail. This time it was 8 polishes from I Love Nail Polish. Quick shipping to Sweden, about a week.
Had a hard time deciding which one to try first, but finally chose My Little Glacier (H). This partly because I thought this was the most boring (read least fantastic) of them all, but oh my was I wrong! Or was I? The future will tell...

The formula is good but not perfect. First coat is a bit uneven, but still enough wih two coats. A bit streaky, but I'm not bothered too much by that.
The multichrome effect is not very strong, but in some angles a beautiful copper tone is shown together with many different blue tones. The holo effect is not the strongest I have seen, but just perfect for this polish. I like this very much. I guess I will like the other seven polishes too.
